Rock House Teacher Spotlight

At The Rock House School of Music, we take pride in our instructors being the best in the world; they work hard to guide their students through the learning process with care and passion. It’s not only the one-on-one lessons, it’s the countless hours of training and planning that they put in on their own time that makes these instructors so successful at their mission. Our instructors love what they do and this helps to make them the best. In this section, we spotlight and honor a teacher that puts in that extra something that makes the students they teach love to come to lessons and excel beyond their dreams and play music.

Heatherlea Gelineau   Vocal Instructor

At Rock House School of Music we not only look for the best musicians and vocalists to be our master instructors but we also look for people with a special inner spirit for the arts. People that want to give back something extra to our students and our community. We always look to create more opportunities for our students and teachers to perform for the community enriching the cultural essence and making our Rock House family stronger. Heatherlea has all we were looking for!

Heatherlea as a vocalist has the unique ability to control her voice and change tones to sound like many singers, from Stevie Nicks to Janis Joplin and everything in-between.  Her range can go from a bold low range to belting high notes. As a teacher she can help students learn her talents and we have seen many excel under her tutorial. She not only teaches techniques for improving a voice but also provides inspirational support to give students the confidence to excel vocally as well as in performance. She teaches all genres of music and musical theater as well.

Heatherlea loves to give back and help students above and beyond just weekly lessons. She takes her own time to put together and teach an A cappella group featuring Rock House students. They perform at local events and holiday performances across the state. When covid-19 hit us she took initiative to start weekly performances at our Wallingford location to keep live music strong and to provide a positive vibe for the town. Rock House held a Weekly “Porch Concert Series” hosted by Heatherlea from May to October 2020 that included her band Spellbound as well as many performances from our talented teaching staff.

We are proud to have Heatherlea as a Rock House School of Music instructor and part of the Rock House family! If you would like more information about lessons with Heatherlea please contact us at 203-934-2501 or RockHouseSchool@gmail.com
