Drum, Piano & School Band Instrument Instructor

Christopher Siena began playing music at a young age starting with the drums then the piano, trumpet, and vibraphone. Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Southern Connecticut State University. While at Southern Chris played the drums in the Jazz and Blues ensembles leading several of those ensembles. Chris has played with numerous bands around Connecticut. Currently Chris is playing the drums with his band Fiction.  For the past four years Chris has been teaching piano and drum lessons for studios and independently, sharing his passion for music with his students. Chris joined the Rock House School of Music as a beginner piano instructor in January of 2015. Chris is very proud to be a part of Rock House and to be able to use their award winning Rock House Method curriculum to teach his students.

There are multiple elements I look at before I say someone is a great teacher. Passion, knowledge and reliability are just a few. Chris has been with Rock House for over seven years and I can say without a doubt he is a great teacher! At Rock House Chris teaches drums, piano, Little Rockers Class and most school band instruments. Chris truly cares about each student and their success, often taking an extra step to ensure a positive learning experience. One example Cathy McCarthy noted is “While giving an online lesson I saw Chris with his cell phone in his mouth to get the proper angle for his student to see the drum exercise, I was amazed at his ability to do whatever it takes to help his students.”

Chris donates his time and helps out on many “Student Open Mic“ performances that we run at Rock House School of Music guiding each student through their performances like a proud dad. He records and performs with his original Rock band “Fiction” and inspires his students to perform and be creative.  We are proud to have Chris as part of our Rock House family and any student should feel lucky to have Chris as their teacher.
